Ahmed SHAHABUDDIN

Born in 1950 in Dhaka, Bangladesh, Ahmed SHAHABUDDIN is a worldwide-renowned representational painter. He has been living in Paris since 1974. SHAHABUDDIN took part in the Bangladesh liberation movement in 1971 and became a national hero for this reason. In 2000 he is awarded the national Peace Prize, which is the highest honor in Bangladesh. He was elected one of the 50 masters of contemporary art in 1961 during the art Olympiad in Barcelona.

He exhibits all over the world: some of his works feature in the constant collection of the National Museum of Bangladesh in Dhaka, in the National Bulgarian Museum in Sofia, in the Olympic Museum of Seoul, Korea and in Lausanne, Switzerland.
